Skilled Aircraft Fitter

Location: Filton
Contract: 12 months (strong likelihood of extension and potential for permanent role)
Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday, 6:30am – 3:45pm
Rates: 27.89 per hour Umbrella/ 20.85 per hour PAYE

Morson Edge is looking for an experienced Aircraft Technician to join the Build Production team, supporting the manufacture and assembly of aircraft structures. This is a long-term contract opportunity offering stability, development, and the potential to transition into a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

Working from engineering instructions and interpreting aircraft drawings

Completing build and assembly tasks to required quality and safety standards

Using power tools for drilling, shimming, and sealing activities

Achieving 1st party certification following successful completion of relevant courses

Undertaking confined space work when required, including tank work involving restricted wing access through oval-shaped manholes

Essential Skills & Experience:

Completed Aerospace or Engineering Apprenticeship

Formal qualifications such as:

Indenture and City & Guilds Level 2

BTEC ONC

NVQ Level 2 or 3

Modern Apprenticeship Certificate

Key Skills Level 2

Strong communication skills and self-motivation

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Open to continuous improvement and new ways of working

Strong understanding of, and commitment to, Health & Safety standards
