Job Title: Quality Technician
Job Description
As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet our companys quality standards before they proceed to the manufacturing line. You will conduct regular product evaluations, accurately record inspection results, and suggest improvements to enhance our quality processes. Success in this role requires a keen eye for detail and excellent technical and analytical skills.
Responsibilities
- Operate incoming-material structural-test equipment, running standardized load-and-stress protocols on received components.
- Conduct general part inspections (dimensional, visual, and functional) using a broad array of precision tools.
- Perform detailed inspections of carbon fiber parts, identifying delaminations, voids, or dimensional deviations, and flag discrepancies.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to extract inspection requirements and GD&T callouts.
- Define inspection processes as the company scales, including what to inspect, how, and selecting the appropriate measurement tool for each task.
- Accurately record inspection data in the quality-management system, maintaining traceability of lot numbers and inspection outcomes.
- Identify nonconformances, apply hold tags, and collaborate with Quality Engineering and Suppliers on root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Support continuous-improvement initiatives: refine inspection plans, reduce cycle times, and standardize best practices.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of hands-on quality-inspection experience in manufacturing, new product introduction, or a related field.
- Proficiency with quality documentation software such as 1Factory and task tracking software such as Jira.
- Technical literacy with engineering drawings, schematics, and technical plans.
- Experience using various digital measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Familiarity with cross commodities including PCBAs, Metals, 3D printed parts, Motors, Electronics, and Composites.
- Ability to use spreadsheets for documentation and analysis.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from suppliers, as well as outgoing products.
- Proven capability to reject products and materials that do not meet quality expectations.
- Experience recommending improvements to the production process to ensure continuous quality improvement.
- Ability to document inspection outcomes by completing inspection plans and performance records.
- Capability to resolve quality-related immediate inspection needs in a timely manner.

Work Environment
Work closely with two Quality Inspectors, Engineers, and a Lead Quality Engineer. The environment is an open production floor separated by varying assembly stations. The standard shift is Monday to Friday, from 7am to 4pm, with potential adjustments and occasional weekend work. Dress code is casual
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of San Francisco, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00/hr.
