TasksThe Surplus Trading Manager is responsible for:
- Monitoring the surplus spanet to identify new material sources & customers
- Conduct spanet & competitor analysis to provide insights into spanet conditions
- Managing vendors & customers to maintain & develop business relations
- Managing sourcing & sales channels for surplus materials to minimize purchasing costs & maximize sales revenues
- Forecasting, tracking & achieving surplus purchasing & sales business
- Buying aircraft, tearing down components, & handling aircraft teardown projects in APAC
- Interacting & aligning with internal stakeholders
- Participating in regular meetings to coordinate activities & share knowledge on spanet development
- Identify & incorporate constructive improvements internally to ensure business objectives are achieved

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need to have a combination of the below requirements:
- University degree, preferably in Engineering or Aviation
- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in engineering or technical purchasing, preferably in the field of aviation maintenance, repair & overhaul (MRO) or similar technical services
- Experience in sales or purchasing of surplus components
- Able to work independently & possess a high level of business & project management skills
- Skills in structuring, disposition & planning of complex workflows & projects
- Effective negotiation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office functions & SAP
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken & written)
- Knowledge of an Asian language or German is advantageous
- Willingness & ability to travel as required based on business needs
- Must possess a legal work permit in India
