Position Summary
Assure correct implementation and monitoring of the quality system, including customer specific requirements and customer satisfaction trough the processes (Customer-System-Process) and achieve quality KPIS of the organization.
Responsibilities
- Internal/External Customer Service
- Manage compliance with the control plan for process/product characteristics.
- Provide support for APQP processes for new products/pilot prototypes and transfers.
- Support internal and/or external audits.
- Coordinate and advise on activities and projects related to cost reduction, scrap reduction, and continuous improvement (Kaizen, HPTs, A3, etc.).
- Supervise the activities of the quality engineer/technician.
- Manage the corrective and preventive action system and verify the correct resolution of quality problems related to internal, external, and/or warranty issues, as well as quality system nonconformities.
- Prepare reports and update quality indicators.
- Provide divisional reports focused on quality metrics.
- Define quality strategies and plans that ensure compliance with customer requirements and standards.
- Develop and ensure the training of personnel under your supervision.
- Responsible for managing peripheral quality areas such as the metrology laboratory, phosphate, incoming inspection, inspections (GP12), and/or calibration (as applicable).
- Coordinate customer visits to the plant with the various support teams and provide the organization with the results of these visits.
- Ensure periodic evaluations of their staff and provide feedback.
- Manage and participate in the compliance process for internal audits, including LPA and L1/L2 audits.
- Promote a culture of quality through the use of newsletters and recognition programs.
- Manage and monitor Quality Near Hits in their areas to ensure proper follow-up and define strategies with the support teams for their closure.
- Comply with, promote, and actively participate in the requirements of the ISO 14001 quality and environmental management systems. Additionally, perform all analogous activities and similar responsibilities inherent to the position.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline. (MBA desirable)
- Experience: Quality areas with direct contact with the customer, minimum of 3 years, in a similar position, new products/pilot prototypes, and early stages, continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
- English level: Advanced English
