Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct assigned crew in performing maintenance, servicing, and repairs on aircraft and engines, ensuring airworthiness per customer specifications and FAA standards.
- Enforce proper handling of parts, ensuring accurate tagging (repairable, serviceable, or condemned) and timely routing of components in line with company procedures.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
- Troubleshoot aircraft systems using applied theory of operations.
- Provide on-the-job training and instruction on aircraft maintenance, standard operating procedures, and safety standards.
- Review non-routine maintenance cards to plan actions, identify necessary parts, materials, and tools, and provide accurate estimates in a timely manner.
- Maintain accountability for the quality, efficiency, and timeliness of assigned work and that of the crew.
- Exhibit flexibility in work hours to ensure smooth shift transitions and project continuity.
- Interface with customer representatives to secure approval for original, additional, or revised work estimates.
- Perform removal, installation, inspection, testing, adjustment, and repair of avionics systems, including radio, radar, and navigation systems, as required.
- Utilize tools and equipment to perform technical and manual tasks as directed.
- Maintain working knowledge of ATA Codes, aircraft zones, airframe structures, and industry standards.
- Interpret and comply with Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and Maintenance Manual instructions for safe work completion.
- Record work orders, time logs, and materials used, ensuring documentation is accurate and timely.
- Proficiently use integrated operating systems for locating parts, alternate part numbers, and tool requests.
- Maintain accountability for personal and team safety compliance, following all procedures without exception.
- Stay informed and accountable for all work-related policies, procedures, training, and qualifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Strong technical knowledge of avionics systems, maintenance practices, and FAA standards.
- Ability to lead and train team members, ensuring adherence to safety and quality protocols.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and maintenance manuals.
- Working knowledge of ATA Codes and narrow-body airframe structures.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with a focus on customer interaction.
- Commitment to maintaining training and qualifications as required for the role.
