Junior Project Manager

Job Description
Position Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall management and execution of turnkey projects to design and build Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) for airports across the United States.
This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams to define automation requirements, anticipate project needs, and ensure that all project activities align with company objectives, performance targets, and customer expectations.
Essential Functions
Reporting to a Senior Project Manager he will:
Fulfill all contractual obligations and adhere to project constraints.
Operate in accordance with company policies, processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Engage and coordinate with stakeholders, ensuring alignment across technical, commercial, and operational aspects.
Achieve economic and financial targets, including Economic Value Added (EVA).
Maintain accurate project data in company information systems.
Monitor and control project progress, ensuring milestones are achieved on time and within budget.
Identify, assess, and manage project risks, reporting updates to the Company&8217;s Risk Management Authority.
Oversee and control project scope changes in accordance with contractual and internal procedures.
Develop, update, and maintain comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6 (mandatory) and related planning tools.
Manage and evaluate subcontractors to ensure compliance with quality, cost, and scheduling requirements.
Promote and ensure a safe work environment, including safety analysis, rigging plans, environmental risk assessments, and regular site audits.
Develop and maintain the project QA/QC process to guarantee project deliverables meet required standards.
Create, prioritize, and track the project action item list.
Maintain accurate as-built documentation and punch lists.
Prepare and distribute detailed progress reports.
Qualifications and Experience
Mandatory Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of experience in Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) or construction project management, preferably in airport construction projects.
Proven experience in planning, scheduling, and controlling complex projects using Primavera P6 (mandatory).
Strong knowledge of project planning principles, including critical path method (CPM), resource allocation, earned value analysis, and schedule risk management.
Experience with budget management, cost control, and financial performance tracking.
Solid understanding of engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning processes.
Demonstrated experience in risk management, quality control, and contract administration.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor&8217;s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
PMP or equivalent Project Management certification.
Experience working within airport environments or under FAA, TSA, or airport authority regulations.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple contractors.
