Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Quality Inspector with an A&P license and repair station experience to ensure aircraft maintenance is completed thoroughly from nose to tail. The role involves inspecting aircraft based on engineering drawings and ensuring compliance with structural and electrical modifications.
Responsibilities
- Inspect government aircraft undergoing various upgrades and modifications.
- Ensure structural and electrical modifications are correct per engineering blueprints and schematics, including materials incorporated per the Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Author engineering change requests as required.
- Complete required aircraft releases for modification and airworthiness.
- Author necessary documentation related to Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) installations.
- Perform weight and balance assessments per the Pilots Operating Handbook (POH).
- Review Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins (SBs) to ensure compliance.
- Update and review aircraft life-limited items per the manufacturers Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM) Chapter 4.
- Brief and de-brief the flight crew during calibration flights.
- Inspect all fabricated parts, both mechanical and electrical, against engineering blueprints and schematics.
- Conduct First Article Inspections in accordance with the relevant standards.
Essential Skills
- A&P license
- 5+ years of experience in aircraft quality inspection, including airworthiness, return to service, and nose to tail aircraft inspection, or aircraft manufacturing
- Experience with repair stations
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings
- High school diploma or GED

- Flexibility with shift schedules

Work Environment
The position is located in a hangar environment and a 145 repair station. The work environment is fast-paced, with specific tasks and work orders to be completed within designated timelines. The dress code is standard, consisting of jeans and a t-shirt with steel-toed shoes. The facility operates Monday through Friday during the day, with additional shifts available due to increased workload, including a night shift from 3:30 PM to 2:30 AM. Flexibility in working hours is required.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $44.00 - $48.00/hr.
