Position Summary
Job Title: Quality Inspector
Location: Fareham
Hours: 37.5 Hours
Duration: Permanent
The Role:
A trusted inspection role with real authority, autonomy, and progression.
We’re recruiting a Quality Inspector to join a well-established aerospace quality team, supporting airframes products across Goods Inwards, Production, OEM and Repair activities.
This is not a tick-box inspection role. You’ll act as an authorized inspection signatory, working independently, engaging directly with suppliers and customers, and ensuring full compliance to AS9100 and customer requirements.

Responsibilities of the role:
As a Quality Inspector, you’ll take ownership of inspection activities within your designated area, including:
- Carrying out Goods Inwards, in-process and final inspections
- Inspecting airframe components against drawings, specifications, and PO requirements
- Acting as an approved signatory for product release and certification
- Managing non-conformances, MRB activity, and inspection documentation
- Working directly with suppliers to investigate rejects, failures, and corrective actions
- Supporting audits and customer inspections
- Using a range of inspection methods, including:
- Verniers, micrometers, shadow graphs, optical measurement
- CMM (operation or understanding required, programming desirable)
- You’ll plan and prioritize your own workload, balancing quality, delivery, and compliance
Qualifications
Skills required:
Experience as a Quality Inspector in an aerospace or regulated manufacturing environment
Strong mechanical and/or electrical inspection background
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Confidence working independently and making inspection decisions
Strong communication skills – comfortable dealing with suppliers and internal stakeholders
