Software Engineer- Space Force- SDA Program

Contract Position

Pay Estimated: $84.40-$89.40/Hour

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors, (geographical location, etc.)

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.

Responsibilities:

• Support software engineering and development efforts for the SDA (Space Development Agency) program.

• Participate in full software development lifecycle including design, development, testing, and deployment.

• Develop software using Java and modern web-service/application-server technologies.

• Contribute to ground system control and RESTful interface development.

• Utilize tools and environments such as AWS VN, Maven, and VSCode IDE.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or a related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field.

• Clearance: U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.

• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience (or 6 years with a Master’s degree).

• Required Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Java software development.

  • Experience with web services/application servers.

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

• Preferred Experience:

  • AWS VN environment.

  • Maven build tools and VSCode IDE.

  • RESTful API/interface development.

  • Ground system control systems and operations.
