The ideal candidate is automation minded, security aware, and comfortable working in fast paced Agile environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high performance applications using Java/J2EE and modern web technologies.Engineer and migrate applications to the AWS cloud, leveraging cloud native services and best practices.Build and maintain RESTful APIs and web applications using Spring Boot and related frameworks.Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines with integrated quality, security, and automation checks.Apply DevSecOps principles, ensuring security is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.Collaborate cross functionally with product, QA, platform, and security teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.Contribute to automation-first engineering, including automated testing, build, deployment, and monitoring.Ensure applications adhere to 12 factor principles, performance, reliability, and operational excellence standards.Promote quality engineering best practices, including shift left testing and continuous validation.Ensure compliance with organizational standards for safety, security, and data protection.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) Minimum 7+ years of software development experience in enterprise environments.Strong experience with AWS cloud infrastructure or other major enterprise cloud providers.Proven experience with application migration to cloud and cloud native architectures.Hands-on experience in Agile methodologies and iterative delivery models.Experience working with containerization and orchestration platforms: Docker, Kubernetes / OpenShift and AWS EKS or Red Hat OpenShiftJava/J2EE expertise, including object oriented design, design patterns, and enterprise frameworks.Strong experience with Spring Boot and REST API development.Familiarity with frontend/web technologies such as jQuery and AngularJS.Proficiency in relational databases, especially Oracle.Experience with API documentation and standards such as Swagger/OpenAPI.Working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.Hands-on experience with Git-based version control and collaborative workflows.Experience using build and dependency management tools such as Maven and Gradle.Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and release automation.Working knowledge of DevSecOps practices, including: Secure code management, Automated security scans, Vulnerability awareness and remediation and Fundamental understanding of application security principles and OWASP best practices.Automation-minded with hands-on experience writing automated backend and API tests.Experience with testing and automation tools such as: Postman, REST Assured, ReadyAPI or similar toolsStrong grounding in quality engineering fundamentals, including: Test strategy and test pyramid concepts and Shift left and continuous testingExposure to or working knowledge of AI-assisted development or testing tools, such as: AI-based test generation, Intelligent code analysis or Developer productivity tools powered by AIConsistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
