Purpose of Job
Specialist focused on designing, developing, and business intelligence solutions using
Microsoft Power BI – specifically Project Summary and Performance Management
System.
Qualifications, skills and qualifications
• Power BI Admin: including workspaces, gateways, capacity, RLS/OLS, deployment pipelines, tenant settings.
• Automation: Power Automate scripting in Python/PowerShell for orchestration and data tasks.
• API Integration.
• Azure Fabric, Azure Data Factory.
• SQL & Databases.
• Visualisation: Power BI (custom visuals, performance tuning).
Key accountabilities may include
• Report & Dashboard Development
• Build executive-level Project Summary and Performance Management dashboards (with drill-through, bookmarks, tooltips).
• Apply performance optimisation
• Ensure accessible UX
• Publish and manage Power BI artifacts in appropriate workspaces implement deployment pipelines.
The role includes:
• Data warehousing principles
• Azure data pipelines and fabric workloads
• SAP data extractions
• Data Integration: Azure Fabric SAP
• Design and implement data ingestion pipelines from SAP sources
• Use Azure Fabric/Data Factory/Dataflows
• Handle connectivity, authentication, and metadata mapping
• Design and implement secure data ingestion from on premises databases (including SQL).
