Job Title: Field Service Engineer – Airport Baggage Handling Systems (BHS)
Location: Denver International Airport - Full Time Permenant Role
We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer (FSE) to support live airport operations at Denver International Airport, ensuring reliable performance of complex baggage handling systems in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
This role is hands-on and highly technical, ideal for professionals experienced in troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of airport baggage handling systems.
Position Summary
The Field Service Engineer performs maintenance, diagnostics, and technical support activities to ensure baggage handling systems operate according to contractual performance and functional requirements.
Working on-site in a live airport environment, the FSE supports fault identification and resolution using technical documentation, schematics, and diagnostic tools to maintain system reliability and operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Troubleshooting

Analyze system performance using diagnostic tools and instrumentation.

Support corrective actions to restore system performance.

Troubleshoot hardware and software failures.

Perform fault isolation, diagnostics, repair, and fine-tuning of machines and systems.

Support rapid issue resolution in live operational environments.
Mechanical & Electrical Activities

Develop and improve maintenance procedures based on system specifications.

Perform mechanical maintenance, including assembly, adjustment, and repair of equipment.

Conduct electrical troubleshooting and maintenance on automation equipment and panels.

Execute technically complex repair and commissioning tasks.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Mandatory Experience
-
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience supporting Airport Baggage Handling Systems in live airport environments.

Experience in 24/7 operational systems, including early-life system stabilization phases.

Proven expertise in preventive and corrective maintenance of large-scale BHS systems, including conveyors, sorters, merges/diverts, and Early Baggage Storage systems.

Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and control systems.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.

Experience with precision alignment, component replacement, and root-cause analysis.

Experience with PLC-based BHS control systems.

Ability to troubleshoot via PLC diagnostics and SCADA alarms.

Experience with I/O troubleshooting and signal tracing.

Familiarity with industrial networks such as Profinet.

Experience using SCADA systems for monitoring and alarm management.
