Job Title: C-17 Electronics Technician
Job Description
Join our team as a C-17 Electronics Technician in San Antonio, Texas, where you will play a crucial role in supporting aircraft maintenance and modifications. This role requires regular and predictable attendance and offers the opportunity to work on one of the largest DOD and Commercial Aircraft Programs.
Responsibilities
- Apply technical knowledge to solve complex problems that cannot be resolved solely by referencing manuals.
- Understand and manage the interrelationships of circuits, performing tasks such as circuit analyses and signal flow tracing using complex test instruments.
- Conduct aircraft bench and flight line operational testing and troubleshooting in line with directives.
- Assemble, install, and modify wire bundles during aircraft development and modification.
- Ensure proper handling of assignments, tools, and equipment.
- Collaborate with management and peers to optimize work processes.
- Assist and train junior employees, and lead teams in complex tasks.
- Prioritize workload to maintain project schedules.
- Interpret work instructions, charts, blueprints, and orders to accomplish tasks.
- Ensure all equipment complies with safety and operating procedures.
- Diagnose and correct assembly process malfunctions.
- Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and quality conformance.
- Maintain necessary certifications, licenses, and permits.
- Ascend and descend work ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift loads up to 35 pounds.
- Work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, and perform overtime as required.
- Familiarize with Hazardous Energy and Lock Out/Tag systems for safe work environments.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet cost and schedule targets.
Essential Skills
- Experience with the C-17 or other heavy aircraft platforms.
- Experience with Aircraft Avionics Systems such as Comm Nav, Data Links, Weapons, Radar.
- 3+ years of experience in applied mathematics, statistics, or related field.
- 4+ years working with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings, and standard operating procedures.
- 3+ years of experience with aircraft computer systems and basic office software.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with C-17 Modification.
- Experience working with COMSEC, Radar, or Electronic Systems.
- Ability to operate a forklift, mobile crane, and riding-type electric powered elevating equipment.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.17 - $40.17/hr.
