Job Summary:

We are looking for a Principal Talent Development Specialist who is a highly motivated, passionate individual to join our team and help evolve our business to the next level through talent initiatives. In this role, you will design and develop learning and development programs that enhance employee skills, leadership capabilities, and career growth within the organization, as well as design and deliver talent development initiatives that enhance employee experience, drive employee engagement, and operationalize company values and mission. In addition to building new programs, this role will also focus on creating efficiencies with existing programs, leveraging data and insights, and solving big problems.

In this role you can expect to…

  • Lead the design and evolution of enterprise talent development strategies aligned to business priorities.

  • Architect scalable leadership and capability development frameworks.

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders on talent, capability, engagement, and organizational effectiveness challenges.

  • Guide complex, cross-functional development initiatives and influence without formal authority.

  • Establish standards, methodologies, and governance for talent development and employee engagement practices.

  • Leverage advanced analytics to evaluate impact and inform strategic decisions.

  • Manage and optimize the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure effective program delivery, tracking, and reporting.

  • Facilitate workshops and learning experiences across leadership, communication, and functional skill areas.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive employee engagement strategy that aligns with the organization’s goals and culture.

  • Champion programs and practices that reinforce the company’s core values and mission and enhance overall employee experience.

Qualifications

  • Consulting skills including partner-facing skills aimed at determining the partners need, perceived roadblocks, business unit culture, and work environment issues

  • Appetite to develop programs and initiatives from scratch, and you are an autonomous self-starter

  • Knowledge of talent management, leadership development, and employee engagement principles

  • Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • A growth mindset excited about learning and development

  • Successful track record of teamwork and ability to have fun at work

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • 8 years of relevant work experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field.

  • Ability to travel 20 of the time

Textron’s compensation package includes competitive base pay and provides eligible employees with benefit programs. The pay range should be used as a general guide only. Compensation is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as spanet and business considerations.

In compliance with the local pay transparency law, the pay range for this position is

$110,500 - $167,900 per year.
