Position Summary
Responsible for purchasing raw and indirect materials to meet the production plan and customer requirements while maintaining adequate inventory levels.
Responsibilities
Generate and maintain purchase orders.
Keep the stock shortage report updated.
Create a list of orders with a potential risk of material shortages.
Expedite material with the Sourcing team or suppliers to avoid impacting operations.
Track material in transit and upon receipt at the plant.
Follow up on SAP messages for purchased products (reschedule in/out, cancel).
Track JDE requisitions.
Resolve receiving or in-transit material issues to keep our system clean and reliable. 9. Monitor MRO Min/Max levels
Support payments or extraordinary activities
Support the onboarding of new suppliers in JDE
Track inventory discrepancies and invoice reconciliation
Analyze and align inventory levels continuously to identify and prevent material shortages, excesses, and obsolete items
Maintain constant communication with customer service, production, and other departments for backlog tracking
Participate in the continuous improvement of materials processes
Participate in continuous improvement projects (HPTs).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business Administration, International Trade or related field or engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or equivalent)
Experience of 1 - 2 years.
Authority to release, expedite or cancel purchase orders in accordance with demand changes.
Manufacturing process and supply chain fundamentals.
MRP/ERP Systems (SAP, JDE or similar)
BOMs and Inventory Control.
Basic ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Incoterms and domestics/international logistics.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
APICS-CPIM Desirable
