Role Objective:
The IT Administrator is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the company’s IT systems and infrastructure to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient operations. This role provides technical support to employees, manages hardware and software assets, supports system upgrades, and proactively identifies technology improvements that enhance business operations and productivity.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support core IT operations, including macOS and Windows operating systems, laptops, desktops, mobile devices, software applications, printers, and office hardware
- Administer and respond to requests through the IT Help Desk
- Configure, deploy, and maintain new computer equipment for all departments
- Tag, track, and manage inventory of company-issued devices
- Monitor and maintain system security, backups, and data integrity
- Coordinate with telecommunications providers
- Maintain conference room and audiovisual technology
- Travel to satellite offices as needed
- Research and recommend emerging technologies
- Assist with network architecture planning, monitoring, and optimization (LAN/WAN, VPN, firewalls)
- Support Cybersecurity initiatives including endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and access controls
- Assist in identity and access management (IAM), including user provisioning, MFA, and role-based access
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, business continuity testing, and incident response
- Support cloud-based infrastructure and Saas administration (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, backups, devise management)
- Assist with mobile device management (MDM) policies and enforcement
- Create and maintain IT documentation, SOPs, and asset lifecycle records
- Support automation and scripting to improve IT efficiency (PowerShell, Bash, or similar tools preferred)
- Collaborate on IT compliance initiatives related to security, aviation, and regulatory requirements
- Analyze system performance metrics and recommend improvements
- Participate in IT projects such as system migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and new technology rollouts
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in a similar role
- Professional IT certifications preferred
