Position Summary

For our team in Basel, we are seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join our team on a fixed term, working in group consolidation department.
Your role
- Financial Stewardship: Prepare, maintain, and reconcile key financial documents, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, capital expenditure reports
- End-to-End Closings: Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings under US GAAP and SOX requirements
- Insightful Analysis: Assisting in the assessment of complex transactions, and calculations, interpretation of US GAAP and drafting technical accounting memos
- Strategic Collaboration: Partner with internal and external stakeholders, providing top-tier financial support and driving business decision with financial acumen
- Audit Excellence: Ensure audit readiness, supporting both internal and external audits with accuracy and professionalism and drafting controls under Sarbanes-Oxley.

Your profile
- Commercial accounting education
- Ability to consistently meet stringent deadlines
- Several years of experience in a similar role within an international company
- Results-driven attitude – you execute with precision, accountability, and a customer centric mindset
- Fluent in English (oral and written)
- Certified Public Accountant with and active license under US GAAP
- Proficient in MS office with advance knowledge of excel functions
